Fix Windows Update Error Code 80070103

It is a common one with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 operating systems. Actually, the appearance o this error code on the screen should not be the main issue. Some of them include while installing the device driver when the same driver is already installed in the system, when Windows Update tries to install the device driver is of the higher rating than one that Windows tries to install, when upgrading the existing Windows OS (in this case, the issue is always the proxy or the internal conflict issue), and when the device driver is not working well or it is outdated.

There are several methods that can you try as the solutions to fix this error code 80070103. The first method is updating the device drivers. Your first encounter should be making sure that all device drivers are up to date and working well. This one is for the case where you just installed the new device. Please update the drivers for the device that has the yellow triangle next to its name in Device Manager. You are able to download and update all drivers for the system using Driver Agent tool. You have to download and install it. also, scan the computer for the outdated drivers and download all the drivers that needs to be updated. Updating the device driver manually might be the important thing to do. To update it manually, you have to click Start and type “devmgmt.msc” in the Run box before pressing the Enter button. Then, expand the Device Manager item before right clicking and choosing “Update Driver”. After that, please restart the computer when the update is complete.


The second one is hiding the update. You can try this one when you face the error when upgrading the Windows OS which means that Windows Update is trying to install the existing driver or update.
