Fix The Default Gateway Is Not Available

Some users of Windows have experience the problem of Internet connection. Either it is through Ethernet or wireless connections. When you look at the Internet connection, you will see the notification which shows that no connections are available. Method 1: Remove McAfee programs which you have.

  1. Please follow the step: Start button > Control Panel > Program and Features.
  2. Then select the “McAfee” programs which you have and select the “Uninstall” button.
  3. After the process of Uninstall have finished, you can restart your computer.

Method 2: Reinstall Network Adapters driver.

  1. Please open “Device Manager”.
  2. Find the “Network Adapters”. Then right click on the network adapter which you use currently. Select “Uninstall”.
  3. If you asked for the uninstall confirmation, so press OK to continue.
  4. Please restarts your computer after the process of uninstalls have finished. Automatically the Windows will help you to reinstall the network adapter device driver.

Method 3: Change Network Adapters Driver.

  1. Please open “Device Manager”.
  2. Find the “Network Adapters”. Then right click on the network adapter which you use currently. Select “Update Driver Software”.
  3. Then select “Browse my computer for driver software”.
  4. After that select “Let me pick form a list of device drivers on my computer”.
  5. Please uncheck the option “Show compatible hardware”. Then select “Intel Corporation”.
  6. Afterwards in the right side of the pane, select a network adapter driver which is different from the one which you see in “Device Manager”.
  7. The last click on Next and follow the instructions on screen to change your network adapter’s drivers.

Method 4: Change Power Management Settings for your Network Adapter.

  1. To open “Power User Menu” please press “Windows Key + X” and select “Device Manager” from the list.
  2. Then find your Network Adapter and double click it.
  3. When the Properties window opens, go to “Power Management” tab and “Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”. To save changes, click OK.

Method 5: Change the Power Saving Mode of your Wireless Adapter.

  1. Please press “Windows Key + S” and enter “power options”. Then select “Power Options” from the menu.
  2. When “Power Options” window open, please find your current plan and then click “Change plan settings”.
  3. After that please click on “Change advanced power settings”.
  4. Then find “Wireless Adapter Settings” and you can set it to “Maximum Performance”.
  5. The last to save changes, click Apply and then click OK.
